The external view of the Garrison Fort, supposedly in the Caribbean is Deal Castle, Deal in Kent. It was built together with Walmer Castle and other similar and different forms of defence along the South Coast of England built on the order of King Henry V111 towards the end of his reign, as a line of defence, particularly against the French and Spanish. Walmer Castle became the home of the Warden of the Cingue Ports, one of whom was the Iron Duke, The Duke of Wellington, who died there.
