CSI:Crime Scene Investigation-Burden of Proof
Scarecrow-8824 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Disturbing episode of CSI concerns child molestation and photography, including the arson of a victim's home in response to his murder. A corpse is found on a body farm(bodies dedicated to science and research are used here)and the bullet used is quite peculiar(to say the least) because no metal fragments or residue around the wound are found. Meanwhile, Sara plans to leave the lab because Grissom will not acknowledge her with the respect and feeling she longs for. A photographer is the victim and he's suspected of molesting his fiancé's daughter. The killer might just be the daughter's father, who owns a chain of grocery stores. An image enhanced on a photograph found of the teenage abuse victim could lead the CSI team to the killer. This is akin to a LAW & ORDER:SVU episode as the final result on who abused the teenage girl and why the victim was murdered, his home burned shortly after, leaves you with chills. Subject matter such as this can not be ignored; this is real life, folks. This episode has Janet Gunn as Jane Bradley, the mother whose fiancé was murdered, Sara Paxton(THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake rape victim)as Jane's molested daughter, and Jason Beghe as Russ, the ex-husband. The way a meat bullet is brought about is pretty neat, how Grissom discovers that this was key to the murder of the victim.

Worst Kind of Crime
Hitchcoc9 January 2021
This episode ultimately is about child molestation. A twelve year old girl is at the root of it as she finds herself between her mother's ex- and the new fiancee. We get a visit to a body farm where experimentation is done on cadavers; except a gruesome discovery is made. Part of the result is quite far-fetched, but it is really entertaining. There is also a subplot having to do with the relationship between Grissom and Sara Sidle, relating to their professional communications.

Bullet

Warning: Spoilers
Good episode but I chuckled at the meat bullet. Who decides to murder someone and comes up with that?

"I know! I'll make a bullet out of frozen meat!"

Other than the meat bullet it was a solid episode.

The Body Farm

When the body of a man is dumped in a farm body, Grissom and his team investigate the case. They find his identity, the photographer Mike Kimble, and Catherine and Warrick go to his house to seek out evidences. However, they find the house burning and firemen fighting the fire. They learn from the neighbor that Mike had a fiancée, Jane Bradley, and Catherine and Brass go to her house to interview her. They also interview Jane's ex-husband Russ Bradley, and learn that she called off her wedding with Mike. Meanwhile, Dr. Robbins and Grissom do not find fragments of the bullet in Mike's body but a strange piece of meat instead. When Grissom finds hidden sexy pictures of the twelve-year old Jody Bradley in Mike's house, the whole family Bradley becomes suspect of the murder and the arson.

"Burden of Proof" is another great episode that begins with the concept of "body farm" that I had never heard before, but I checked in Wikipedia. Watching this excellent series for the first time in 2022 sometime have additional attractions, showing actors and actresses twenty years younger like, for example. Jason Beghe from "Chicago P. D". The plot is well built and resolved, as usual. My vote is eight.
