The Comedian and the Insurance
claudio_carvalho23 December 2022
While performing on the stage, the comedian Dougie Max dies. Grissom, Catherine and Capt. Brass investigate the case and Grissom and his team conclude that he was poisoned by the expensive bottled water Innoko. When a teenager dies in a convenience store, Warrick is assigned by Grissom to investigate the case, and soon he finds that the youngster had drunk Innoko water. Grissom finds that the bottles came from the same lot, and was not a tampering case. Meanwhile, Brass asks Nick to reopen the case of Shelley Stark, who died in an accident in a bathtub and Brass did not call any CSI investigator. He has just seen her husband with a hot woman driving a Ferrari and he is intrigued, since the man was inconsolable. Nick and Sara reopen the case and find new evidences.

"Last Laugh" is another episode of "CSI" with good storylines. The murderer of the comedian poisoned by water is predictable, but the way the investigators find the killer is laborious. The instinct of Brass works when he sees George Stark's "grieving" with a sexy woman and driving a Ferrari, and the conclusion is funny. My vote is eight.

What's So Funny?

Another episode based on jealousy and rage. Two comics vie for attention in a comedy club. One is more traditional standup and the other a lowest common denominator sort. One day the latter drinks from a commercial bottled water and drops dead on the stage. The second case involves a man whose wife has died. He has no compassion and the gang see him as the possible murderer. But where is the evidence?
