Welcome, to Lady Heather's Dominion.
Son_of_Mansfield6 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Melinda Clarke is perfectly cast as Lady Heather, local fetish madam and Grissom's new best friend. She drips with sensuality. The scenes between the two of them are playful, yet dangerous. She is the only person that has ever put Grissom on edge, that is fascinating. Heather and Catherine also make a connection, it almost seems like they are ready to go into business together. The plot, about one of Heather's girls coming up dead in a sandbox, is anchored by Kelly Rowan and Mitchel Whitfield as the unhappy couple. They are the definition of dysfunctional. Even though it isn't the creamiest plot, there are plenty of great lines and better than solid guest performances to satisfy.

Dominant Women and Weak Men
Tarasicodissa26 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This episode introduces the most beloved of recurring characters, Lady Heather who runs an S&M establishment. Melinda Clarke is absolutely lovely in the role.

Lady Heather is the only person Grissom has ever encountered who is as astute a judge of character as he. She is the only person who can see through him and deal with him as a true intellectual equal. In fact, in the scene where they have tea, he is distinctly uncomfortable at her ability to penetrate his defenses. She could plow right through them to his heart if she chose to and that visibly scares a man who has built his life around pushing intimacy away.

The dominance theme is continued in the plots which revolve around the attempts of castrated men to revolt against dominant women. From the check cashing place woman owner whose brother and husband foolishly and incompetently attempt to rob her to the house husband tamely tending a baby that he knows isn't his for his corporate careerist "wife" who treats him with undisguised contempt.

She'll Be Back!
Hitchcoc6 January 2021
Lady Heather makes her first appearance here. She runs an S&M place and is interviewed because one of her girls has been savagely murdered. The CSI's, Grissom in particular, are in an element that is new. Once again, there are several layers of deceit. It is the male that is really interesting here; one who allows himself to be tortured or to torture. Grissom begins to form a bond with Lady Heather, an uncomfortable (for him) one. Well done episode going forward.

CSI:Crime Scene Investigation-Slaves of Las Vegas
Scarecrow-887 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I'm quite curious as to if I watched a particular episode that was cut by censors for national television restored for the DVD release because the body of a dominatrix found in a sand box is presented in naked form on a table in the CSI lab as Grissom looks over her for evidence as to what killed her. We get plenty of ass and even some quick shots of her breast.

The CSI team enter the fetish world as the body of the dominatrix is linked to a "pleasure palace", a place where those with "S&M proclivities" could find to unearth their every desire. In this case, however, a client went a bit too far. The proprietor of the establishment is Lady Heather(Melinda Clarke, an extraordinary creature who "dominates" her scenes), a highly intelligent woman who can read individuals exceptionally well, even Grissom, a very guarded man who has been able, until coming in contact with her, to shield himself from those around him, having met his match with her. Latex with the imprint of a specific watch and straws used to open airwaves when an leather mask is zipped over a face could be what apprehends the one responsible for the woman's murder. There's something disturbingly erotic about the scene where Grissom goes over the body of the dead woman, first with a blue light, later with water, carefully studying her for any clues as to what might've killed her(not to mention, it develops a history of abuse, though it is established that she hadn't had sex in a little while). How Kelly Rowan(a lawyer) and her downtrodden husband, a weakling who she keeps under subjection play into the case is quite a stunner. This episode gets more than a bit racy from time to time as we get a glimpse into the "abberant" sex slave world which brings in quite a substantial income for Lady Heather.

To be honest this episode works so well because of Lady Heather's conversations with both Catherine and Grissom, neither of who are as turned off by her source of revenue on a nightly basis as you might be led to believe.

The S&M World and the Robbery
claudio_carvalho17 October 2022
When the naked body of a woman is found in a sandbox at a playground, Grissom, Catherine, Nick and Brass investigate the case. They find that the woman had well-treated nails, hair, skin and teeth, and had also high-quality breast implant. They succeed to identify the woman, Mona Taylor, and go to the place where she worked. They find an S&M club and meet the manager Lady Heather that explains that Mona was a switch, capable to play on both S&M roles. Further, sometimes she worked for herself, dealing directly with the client. Meanwhile, Sara, Warrick and Detective Sam Vega work in a robbery of a check-cashing store, where the carrier was shot in the leg. They learn that his work was a routine and the store has insurance. Soon they investigate the evidences and follow a lead.

"Slaves of Las Vegas" is an interesting episode of "CSI", showing the kink S&M world of many common persons. The character Lady Heather is more than a psychologist to Grissom, learning his inner fears after a few contact with him. The other storyline about a robbery shows the work of efficient investigators that find the thieves. My vote is eight.
