With both Harriet Sansom Harris (Bebe)and Edward Hibbert (Gill) guest starring it's a bit of a 'Frasier' take over in this half good/half not episode of the show.
I thought the Annie trying to impress her old teacher story was good fun, and had some poignant moments to it, with Amy Pietz doing well with more weighty material. Once again the show is testing itself by having these more dramatic moments. Does it make it more soapy and less like a sitcom? Possibly.
I hated the Richard and Charlie story. Surely the writers could've come up with something better for the characters than that?! An episode of two stories of vastly differing quality.
