In Wilkes' office, a poster for I'll Be Seeing You (1944) is seen on the wall to the right of Kelly, when she sits talking to him.
Caesar Romero tells Kelly she reminds him of Frances Farmer. In fact, Jaclyn Smith was then a dead ringer for Gene Tierney. Frances co-starred with Gene in Son of Fury: The Story of Benjamin Blake (1942). Coincidentally, in P.J. Wilkes' office, Kelly stands near a portrait of Gene Tierney, by the entrance.
Shelley Hack is wearing a champagne satin gown---cut on the bias, and with a halter top---which is very reminiscent of the ones that glamour girl Jean Harlow often wore in her boudoir scenes. Just like the Golden Age of Hollywood platinum star, Shelley has it accessorized with a lot of bling---a huge brooch at the neckline, for Tiffany. Harlow, however, is not one of the stars named in this title.
Movie stars referenced:
Referenced by Kris' dance partner: Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, James Cagney. (He tells Kris he admires these men who went after what they wanted.)
Referenced by Caesar Romero: Frances Farmer (He tells Kelly she reminds him of her).
With all the talk about music and movies of the 1930s and 1940s, this episode is somewhat similar to season three's Rosemary, for Remembrance (1979).
