The First Haliwell Witch
claudio_carvalho9 April 2007
In Halloween, while two Grimlocks attack Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Darryl and Leo at the Halliwell sisters' home, the sisters are sucked into a time portal created by The Powers That Be to Virginia in 1670. Once there, the sisters are assigned by a group of good witches to rescue the pregnant Charlotte and her unborn baby from the claws of the evil Ruth and Cole, and bring the mother and the baby back to the good. Without their powers and chased by witch hunters, the sisters save and disclose the identity of the baby.

"All Halliwell's Eve" is a great episode of "Charmed". The story is full of action and comedy, and very well tight up, with the sisters saving their ancestor Melinda Warren. Darryl also finds the truth about Leo. My vote is eight.

wonder if i am the only 1 who thought Warning: Spoilers
the power of 3, ya rings well, but when Melinda was born, delivered by the 3 sisters, what if Paige had been able to stay without the elders poo pooing, ya OK the 3 gifts but others in the fam have had other powers, so if the 4 sisters had gone to the past, been there when Melinda was born...OK ya just a thought, an well if 1 had died with the 4 then there would have been no sister to continue...often wonder if the got the dresses in the past right of if they had a modern updated look to look old fashion or were they based on real clothing from the past... an why didn't they get the door way so the could have it in the future, guess that would make some stories not due able...nothing like helping deliver your ancestor

A Halloween Classic
arturo_smallcharm20 September 2006
Since this was the only episode of the whole series with the Halloween plot, makes this episode a classic, the Halloween episode was about two warlocks that wanted to killed the charmed ones (what else is new?) , when they were about to be killed, a circle of time (or something like that) sucked the sisters in, making them go back in past, in the 1800's era, where her grand-grand-grand mother was about to birth to their grand-grand mother Melinda Warren, which was introduced back in season 1.

I hope this can be one of your favorites episodes, Remember Phoebe flying and laughing as a witch in the old broom, the FX, weren't that good, but anyway was good.

Happy Halloween!

The One In 1670...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode so much. It's one of my all time favorite Charmed episodes, and defiantly one of the top five from Season 3. I love how every season they go back in time or forward in time, in at least one episode. It's so fun. I love that we get to see the beginning of the Halliwell line. Back when it was the Warren line. I love seeing all of the olden day things, and them being amazed by technology, such as a watch.

In this episode, it's Halloween and everyone's getting ready to go to P3 for a party. The sisters are all in their costumes, and are waiting to leave. But when the Grimlocks come to the front door, they are ready for a battle. But before they even get the chance to get rid of those demons, a portal opens up in the hallway, and they're sucked into it. They arrive in an unknown land, and get captured. But, it turns out that the people who took them are good witches. It's the year 1670, and the Charmed Ones have to help save a mother before she gives birth to her baby. You see, an evil sorceress wants to turn the baby evil, which will create even more evil in the present. The Charmed Ones are ready to fight but find out that they have no powers. Since they haven't technically been born yet. They learn how to tap into the power of All Hallows Eve, and eventually save the mother, and deliver her baby. The baby's name was Melinda Warren. That's right, the beginning of the Charmed line. And they delivered their great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother. That's pretty cool. It turns out that the Elder's sent the sisters to this time, because Cole, who they don't know is evil, went back in time to destroy them. Meanwhile, Leo and Daryl try to get rid of the Grimlocks. And when the sisters come back, they vanquish them once again.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.

A Halliwells ''All Hallows Eve'' Classic...
samadsohail-4887427 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was just beautiful and magical. The episode marked the return of the Grimlocks out to seek revenge on The Charmed Ones on Halloween. However the power of three was at a much bigger risk because the Triad were so hell bent on destroying The Charmed Ones that they went as far as to wipe the whole Halliwell/Warren line...This episode showed the return of old magic and taught us that magic is all around us.Piper freezing the Grimlocks by channeling her power through the wand was gold...The dialogue delivery and how The Charmed Ones delivered their own great great great great whatever Grandma(Melinda Warren) was beautiful.... and who can forget how Phoebe rode on those broomstick The flow of the episode was beautiful as were the stories told and wisdom learnt.

Perfect Halloween episode for the show.
m-4782624 March 2021
Episode 2 had a poetic story about cursed lovers, echoing Leo and Piper's relationship, before its tragic outcome, and episode 3 was very funny, and finally embraced the fairytale theme, that will be developed on future seasons. But was also very corny and with ridiculous looking creatures. « All Halliwell's Eve », is one of those Charmed episodes, I've watched several times, and still enjoy re-watching after all these years. It brings back season 1 famous monsters, interesting things about esotericism are said, the sisters are once again faced with past lives issues, and Snake River Conspiracy performed at P3. It's one of those episodes that showed how entertaining season 3 could be, and I'm always here for it.

Happy Halloween

Warning: Spoilers
A wonderful special set around Halloween where the sisters are ready to party it up when two Grimlocks pass the barrier from the demonic wastelands to earth in order to exact revenge. Before they can attack they are whisked to the past to save their family line started by Melinda Warren from turning evil. Cole in disguise tries to keep her mother Charlott contained until the due date unless his feelings for the youngest Hallowell weakens his determination.

I love everything about it from the time portal the Elders use to transport them, to Leo and Daryl working together as a team to rid the manor of grimlocks, Phoebe riding on a broom and the rich costumes. The only thing about this episode is it would be great for Darryl to mention his wife Shelia who appears in season five with two kids instead of suggesting he's a bachelor.

The natural magic involved was a wonderful treat as they must use the knowledge they gained from adult Melinda and tap into their wiccan roots. Witch hunters make a first appearance with medallions to ward off magic setting the stage for season four and shares similarities with morality bites but in the past.

My own My complaint is this is the last time we really dig into the family tree or her to know Melinda Warren. Grams and Party are nice, but overused. It really felt like a magical extravaganza and ashamed we won't her another like it until season eight.
