- For the bachelor party the guys at the bar throw for Sam, Woody offhandedly asks Diane if she would be the girl who jumps out of the cake. Although she abhors such male sexual rituals, she agrees if only to stop someone else from "pleasuring" Sam. At the party, just as Diane is ready to come out of the cake, Norm makes a comment which makes Sam reexamine out loud for the first time this wedding and the fact that Diane will now be the one and only woman in his life. After jumping out of the cake mad at Sam for his comments, Diane later offers Sam a proposition: she will give him a last 24-hours of freedom to do whatever he pleases with whomever he pleases. Sam excitedly agrees until Diane throws in that she too will have her last 24-hours of freedom to do whatever she pleases with whomever she pleases. Will Sam still go along with Diane's plan and if so what will he do and what will she do?—Huggo
- When the guys at the bar notice Sam's mood regarding his impending marriage to Diane (notably his exasperation regarding plates and fine linens), they decide to pitch in and put together a bachelor party for him.
Soon the topic turns to having a girl jump out of a cake for Sam. Strangely enough, Woody thinks it'd be more fun if Diane was the girl in the cake. The guys are against this, but Woody asks Diane anyway. At first offended at the thought of such a thing, she soon thinks that this must be some form of a 'joke' Woody wants to play on Sam, and agrees to do it.
The next night, the guys surprise Sam with the party, some 'dirty movies,' and finally, the cake. Norm suggests that Sam make some comments before cutting into the cake, but Sam soon begins to reflect on the fact that soon he'll be 'chained' to just one woman, and that his carefree days will soon be over. As he reaches the end of his 'speech,' Diane emerges from the cake, and angrily storms out of the bar.
The next day, Diane is still in a bad mood over what Sam said about her. Sam claims that he just said it because he was with a bunch of guys, and didn't know she was in the cake. He attempts to apologize again, when Diane proposes a solution to their problem. Since Sam seems to be upset over losing his freedom, she is willing to grant him 24 hours to 'sow his wild oats.' Sam eagerly accepts, until just as she walks out of the bar, Diane claims that the same rule applies to her as well.
Sam returns to the bar the next day, and the guys are eager to hear about his 24 hours of conquests. However, Sam is eerily silent. When Diane comes through the door with another man, Sam prepares to throttle him, until Diane explains that the man helped give her a lift after her car broke down. After the little misunderstanding, Sam whisks Diane into the office, intent to know just what she did over her 24 hours.
