These are episodes that shows season 4 had great material. Only the way some storylines were stretched out, left a lot to be desired. Promicide is a very good Dawson's Creek episode, with all sorts of drama. And the way it's written, is showing once again how creators refused to talk down to viewers. Even though the targeted audience, happened to be teenagers, the reasons the season star couples break up. Are extremely mature and well thought out. There's a sort of tradition for Dance episodes on the show, and they all delivered, but this one has something more. Maybe it's because it's the last, or the fact that every tedious storylines come full circle there. Or maybe the acting, showing what great actors most of these young stars would become. But it was the dream senior prom night scenario for the series. And I happened to not be bothered by the music changes, unlike previous episodes. Speaking of which, I still don't get why they didn't switch the settings to NYC, for the show's college years. I think it would've worked perfectly for it.
