Charlene should never have visited Tova of Biloxi.

You have to give Linda and Harry Thomason credit for their efforts to show heart for every element of society, from bullied high school kids still begging for acceptance as adults to teen delinquents to a rather filthy social outcast, Eldon Ashcroft III (Jonathan Banks). Ashcroft wins a contest which has the design firm offering to redecorate a room in his home, and he's quite difficult to deal with.

While it would be easy to present him as an absolutely slimy reject, they show the other side of him as they begin to see what really lies underneath the grizzled facial shadow and dirty appearance. Through her psychic, Charlene begins to believe that Eldon is a man she is destined to marry.

Yes, the women are a bit snooty here, but in watching the episode, it's easy to understand why. When you first see Eldon, it's hard to see him as even anything close he was going to kill a human being, and that seems to be the point that the Thomason's are trying to make.

As would be a recurring gag on the show in this season 2 opener, Anthony walks in at a very awkward moment, and a very funny one. Eldon does come around when he realizes what trouble he has been, and that opens stop the conversation towards what really is inside each person, utilizing O. Henry as an example. It appears that each of the characters will come out a teeny bit better from having gone through this experience, and the motto, everybody is worth knowing, really does provide thought provoking moments where the audience even nearly 35 years after the episode aired can hopefully identify with.
