Extradition

DI Maguire gets involved in an extradition case. Vic Brady (Phil Brown) is a gangster who has fled the USA.

He is on a boat heading to Britain but the captain of the ship has apprehended Brady and placed him on the brig.

It seems like a simple case. Maguire needs to serve an arrest warrant to Brady and send him back to the USA on the next plane.

Only Brady has planned for this. He has placed on the ship's crew, one of his men.

Ready to help Brady to escape when the time is right.

Now Maguire has to catch Brady. He learns that Brady is after his ex business partner who shopped him to the police.

Extradition has a few well known faces such as Robert Shaw who helps Brady out in England. The revenge angle certainly helps the story.

One of the more interesting stories.

Maguire is sent to ensure an American gangster, who's fleeing justice for a life on The UK, is sent back to face the music back home.

Definitely one of the more interesting episodes I've watched in recent times, I was starting to get a little frustrated with this show, but this was a really interesting storyline. I liked the needle that existed between the two main characters, well played out.

Was extradition something most people would have been aware of back in the 50's, not too sure, a theme that made for an intriguing story.

Some nice stock footage of planes and ships, definitely interesting to see those.

A pretty good cast was assembled for this one, Phil Brown and Robert Shaw were both good I thought.

As you'd expect there's the odd punch up, and a pretty decent car chase sequence. Once again there's the little anti criminal bit of propaganda again.

7/10.
