A remorseless and violent gang try to take out one of their own members, but athe Sniper managed to shoot and kill a Policemen, Maguire knows who and what he's up against, but is refused the right to carry arms.
What worked quite well was that we seemed to get the story from Maguire's view point, the character would have been used to carrying arms, and was somewhat perplexed to have been refused them, all sorts of questions can be associated with this storyline.
It felt a little like there was a political point being made here, an era where armed hold ups and robbery with violence were happening, people must have been questioning why The Police weren't armed, I wonder if there was message in this.
Eddie Byrne did a pretty good job at looking menacing, but walking around with that violin case in plain sight, he looked like a member of The Sopranos, lots of meaningful, maniacal stares.
Enjoyable, 7/10.
