Oh Yeaaaaaaah! chic-a-chic-ah!

There aren't too many perfect "10" TV episodes out there, but for some this is one. That being said, it isn't even original as it is almost wholesale lifted from "Ferris Bueler's Day Off". But, the devil is in the details and this one nails it. Start with a show that should have been the new millennium's "Leave It To Beaver" with just the right amount of time travel! LOL! "H" Yeah!, this show is pure fun with every episode hitting some part of the "bulls-eye". Always some of the coolest 80's music too (some not cool, but guilty pleasures anyway). This is great family sit-com. It's filmed both on a sound stage and on-location for the proper amount of atmosphere (remember how bad Happy Days became when in went 100% sound stage). The cast is straight-out frickin' brilliant - everyone is endearing and fits like a glove. But I digress, this episode is some kind of a brilliant bittersweet ode to both a cult-classic film and that special time in life when things aren't heavy and friendship is still the biggest part of one's psyche. In other words: An ode to a fun childhood with great parents and great friends. Don't miss the poignant dialog which is in turns silly and deep. This is a guaranteed fun watch; Joel's version of his birthday cutting school. BTW, I'm way over 35 and I'm watching this smoking a Cuban and loving it! Would be nice to have that Maker's Mark Joel mentioned.
