- [first lines]
- The Balladeer: [as the General Lee speeds along] You know, it's hard to say whether ol' Bo and Luke were in a hurry or not. They always drive like that.
- Bo Duke: [to driver Luke] Would you take it easy? Uncle Jesse didn't say nothing 'bout delivering that tax return air mail, you know.
- Bo Duke: [on CB, from General Lee] Daisy, you gonna get out of our way, or do we have to run you off the road?
- Daisy Duke: [from her Jeep] No way! If I let you boys pass, you're gonna get mud all over Dixie!
- Earl Becket: Daisy, how do you expect a feller to do his work with a pretty girl like you standing over him smiling?
- [rolls removed wheel out of the way]
- Earl Becket: I tell you. Any word from Bo and Luke?
- Daisy Duke: [totters around on her high heels looking hot] I don't know. Uncle Jesse's back at the farm trying to reach them.
- Earl Becket: Shouldn't you be with him?
- Daisy Duke: No!
- Earl Becket: How come you're not at work?
- Daisy Duke: Earl Becket, are you trying to get rid of me?
- [leans over the bonnet of the car]
- Earl Becket: Nah.
- [chuckles]
- Earl Becket: I suppose it can't be easy being the only girl working the farm.
- Daisy Duke: Well, one day, my prince will come along and take me away from all this. Except for one thing. We don't get too many princes goin' through Hazzard. Hey... you wouldn't happen to be one, would you?
- [sits down next to him]
- Earl Becket: Don't know. Guess I'll have to ask my Daddy if he's been a king all this time without telling me.
- Daisy Duke: I'll bet you a week's pay he *is*.
- Earl Becket: He could be, princess. He could be.
- [they're about to kiss, then, screeching tyres...]
