I maintain that the show has only one point in its favor, the very watchable Sammy Jo (Heather Locklear) and that all the other characters have lost their sparkle, if they ever did have any, that is. As for Alexis, what a nightmare vision, that funeral thing (to keep the flies away?)(kidding!), ooh I could just see Blake's dream, that awful wicked wanton witch... But okay, the awful Alexis does serve to heighten interest. As for Ben, that gormless idiot, how could anybody see him as an asset to a company? He is despicable, loathsome beyond contempt, obviously a weakling (I don't mean physically) in every fiber. I also fail to see how the scriptwriters could expect us to swallow that Blake, wise Blake, would bother to give the time of day to a known blackmailer, even if he saved his daughter's life, so the return of this Season One character Michael is just another bone that sticks in the throat. And then there's the new Amanda. Oh for shame! The new Amanda... If it was 1986 again, I'd drop her a note and say "Don't bother, it's hopeless, pack your bags, and leave with a shred of dignity." Do not try to step into the shoes of real- life royalty (or damn near that, anyway!) Even as a new character, Karen Cellini just isn't DYNASTY material, yet she has to take the place of Catherine Oxenberg? Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. At least the other impostor isn't in this episode, hopefully she has vamoosed over to THE COLBYS. Another good thing is that the fifth wheel, that irksome lounge-club jazz singer, was also skipped over, burn victim daughter Jackie included, the last thing the script needs now.

I signed on to see Heather Locklear continue being a blond angel knock-out, and there with the horse, she is just an absolute California Dream-Girl De Luxe!
