The Storm: Part 1 (#5.14)

So once again Doug breaks the rule to save a child from suffering. But now this seems to have much worse consequences. The episode is greatly done. First of all, it is already great to bring up the topic of the ethics of euthanasia. And they did it very well with showing us the suffering of the boy and his mother who watched it. The dialogues and emotions between the characters are also great. I loved the discussion Doug had with the police guy. And the ending...what was that! Really want to see the second part now.

We also get the mood lightened up with Carter and Lucy. Him checking out her ass to see the thong was pretty good. And how they were caught in the locked room as well as him having a bite mark was also a great thing.

And just to add for people who like me watch it so much later and have some nostalgia for the 90's, I knew right away they were talking about Titanic!

Yeah, but . . .

Green morphining the cancer-dying woman in season 1 or 2 quietly and in the ER no less was OK.

Clooney was leaving the show, so this whole mess was written to help him leave w/ reason. However, the dad coming in at the last minute to "save his son!" was a very-weak note, IMO. Additionally, the mother saying she couldn't take it anymore . . . C'mon. Hospice was around then, no reason to leave that aspect out of the story, giving humane end-of-life treatment.

Now I'm writing a sentence that will give me 138 more characters so I can submit this review without making more up abou the show. Byebye.
