- Kate Winslet is on set, playing the part of a nun hiding innocent people from WWII Nazis. Extra Andy Millman (Ricky Gervais) plays a Nazi guard and his friend Maggie Jacobs (Ashley Jenkins) plays an unnamed woman in a suit.
Between scenes, Andy and Maggie talk about nuns and religion. Andy says he's firmly an atheist.
Andy catches the eye of one of the nun actresses, Suzanne (Charlotte Palmer), and flirts with her. Suzanne introduces them both to her sister, Francesa (Francesca Martinez), who has cerebral palsy. Both of them are awkward around Francesca.
On set, Andy and Maggie are talking to Mike (John Kirk), Maggie's current beau who is also the prop master. After Mike leaves, Maggie confesses to Andy that Mike likes to talk dirty on the phone and she doesn't know how to talk back. Andy gives her a tip, and Kate Winslet overhears and joins the conversation. She gives Maggie several examples, which makes Maggie speechless.
Andy approaches Suzanne and makes her laugh. He insults Francesa before he realizes she's Suzanne's sister. Suzanne seems to forgive him and introduces them.
Andy visits his agent, Darren Lamb (Stephen Merchant) at the request of Darren. It turns out Darren made a mistake and had nothing to talk about as no jobs have come in for Andy. Andy asks Darren if he's sent the script out, but Darren had completely forgotten about it.
On set and in costume again, Andy is complaining about his agent to Maggie, Suzanne, and Francesca. Francesca says that her faith in God is important to her. She asks Andy if he believes in God, and Andy lies and says yes.
After another scene, Kate Winslet sees Maggie and asks how the dirty talk is going. Maggie says she can't do it. Andy wants a line and praises Kate's choice of movies as important. Kate says she's only doing it because she wants an Oscar and the fastest track to one is making a movie about the Holocaust.
Andy spends some time with Suzanne on set and makes her laugh. She invites him to a get together with friends that night.
Maggie is at Andy's apartment helping him choose his clothes for the party. He ends up with a white leisure shirt and black shirt, a disco-type outfit.
Maggie calls Mike and tries to talk dirty on the phone. She reads from notes she took from Kate Winslet.
Andy is in a room of people, who are sitting in a church and praying and reading from the Bible. When he's introduced to the priest (Kevin Moore), he runs off at the mouth in his nervousness about pedophile priests and is caught spewing lies. He admits he fancied Suzanne but he's an atheist. The people in the room look horrified and Andy walks out.
On set the next day, Maggie has told Mike she's not comfortable talking dirty, and he says that she doesn't have to. Andy appears and explains how bad his date was the night before. Kate Winslet appears and makes thinly-veiled dirty-talk conversation. At first, Mike doesn't notice, but he catches Kate and gets angry at Maggie for telling others their secret business. He breaks up with Maggie right then and there. Maggie walks off, upset.
Kate lights a secret, calls Francesca "a mental," and tells Andy that's another way of earning an Oscar, by "playing a mental."
