The One Where Brian And Stewie Go On A Cross-Country Trip...
taylorkingston7 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode. I love all of the Brian and Stewie traveling-adventure episodes. They're all pretty good. Especially when the time machine gets involved.

In this episode, Brian travels to California to pick up Stewie, who has been staying with family. But before they get on their flight, their tickets and money are stolen and they are left stranded. Brian stalls Lois by saying they'll get back by train. On their travels, they find the puppy mill where Brian was born, so he can make amens with his Mother.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.

Good episode

One of the few good episodes in family guy and it has the two best characters when they were the most likeable.

Sad stuff about Brian's early history

Warning: Spoilers
About him being in a puppy mill and, his mother being stuffed and taxidermied.

This episode feels pretty weird and, mildly enjoyable.

I appreciate the creativity and, experimentation.

Arguably the best episode in the series.

An absolute classic. If you don't like this episode, you don't like Family Guy. This was my introduction to the show back in the day when it aired on FOX and I was immediately hooked.

Stewie and Brian together is sheer genius writing, and would go on to become a staple relationship in the show. Oh, and the ROAD TO X episodes would also become a mainstay. So many firsts in this episode -- if I remember correctly, this is also the first episode with a real full-fledged adventure.

Just a phenomenal piece of television from all angles, really. Great episode to start with.

Best of family guy

This episode is a classic and probably my personally favorite of the series. Perfect combination of story, cutaway gags, jokes, and a musical number. Over all a spectacular episode in which all characters are involved.

This episode was an experiment by Seth to see if the unlikely combination of Stewie and Brian would work. Needless to say it as a hit and lead to many more "road to..." episodes.

My favorite episode of Family Guy

Warning: Spoilers
This some of the best of Family Guy. After Brian offer to pick up Stewie and loses the plane tickets Brian and Stewie have to go to a train (basically a road trip story) then it's mixed with a really good Brian story with him dealing abandonment issues and over the trip he learns he's happy with the family he has now. There's a B plot with Peter and Lois it's kind of funny but not as good as The Brain and Stewie stuff but it only takes 2 minutes of the episode up.

I love the train scene as well, the Rode to Rhode Island is great and the posing on Brian and Stewie is great.

Thank you Family Guy

This episode is such a nostalgic classic and hands down one of the only few gems this show has. This episode brought us more adventures with Brian and Stewie and I can't thank enough for this. These types of treasure ("Road to XYZ" episodes) are hands down THE FUNNIEST episodes, in the entire show.

Brian and Stewie are a dynamic duo.

Personally this is my favourite Family Guy episode, the story with Brian and his history with his mother is so inspiring in a way, and the Peter plot was the funniest thing I've seen on a sitcom. This season and the next few were just perfect for the start of great writing and eccentric characters

The Best of Family Guy
lostcinematheq29 May 2020
Family Guy at its best, with the perfect balance of storytelling combined with the show's "cutaway gag", humor style. I feel this way about almost all the "Road To..." episodes in the show, but this one may have been Brian and Stewie's best adventure ever. From the fun plot and witty dialogue to the great musical number, this episode sums up everything uniquely great about Family Guy. Classic!

Best road to episode by far
toyweaponemporium9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Best road to episode by far. The side story with the s** tape was pretty funny. The main story is the spot light though. The parts about Brian's mom is some of the best in the show and the song at the end is either my favorite family guy song or 2 only be close to the likes of so awfully different from road to Europe and you've got a lot to see from Brian wollows and petter swallows. This episode is definitely in my top 5 episodes ever. There wasn't many cutaways and I think that improved it. But I loved the episode and I would recommend this episode to everyone that likes family guy. By me three more.
