Quotes
-
Lucien LaCroix : [after Nick finds him with a stake in his chest] Be so good as to relieve me of this will you?
Det. Nick Knight : Only if you tell me how it got there.
Lucien LaCroix : An instant of improvidence. A soldier's last lucky blow in battle. I was about to dispense a merciful end to his suffering when he managed to inflict this inconvenience on me.
Det. Nick Knight : Such ingratitude.
Lucien LaCroix : Yes. It is increasingly unpleasant, and more than a little annoying. The soldier has been dispatched to hell as I will be shortly if you don't help me.
Det. Nick Knight : It's an interesting dilemma.
-
Det. Nick Knight : Ah, here we are.
[He says looking at a photograph]
Dr. Natalie Lambert : You remember when that was taken?
Det. Nick Knight : No, I'm sorry, I don't.
Dr. Natalie Lambert : Well, it was last year on your birthday. You and I went out to dinner to celebrate. Do you remember which birthday that was?
Det. Nick Knight : All right.
[Chuckles]
Det. Nick Knight : Let me guess. Um somewhere between 30 and 40.
Dr. Natalie Lambert : Oh, you are so far off I cannot begin to tell you.
-
Det. Nick Knight : [Finishes playing a bit of Beethoven's FÃoeR ELISE] How about that?
Dr. Natalie Lambert : It's a beautiful piece., do you remember what it's called?
Det. Nick Knight : No, I don't.
[thinking for a moment]
Det. Nick Knight : But it's by Beethoven, isn't it?
Dr. Natalie Lambert : Very good.
Det. Nick Knight : You know it was strange, when I was playing it I-I-- I remember being with a friend and he was jotting down notes and stuff while I was playing it. With a quill. He was hard of hearing. It's weird.
-
Dr. Natalie Lambert : Stay put, get some rest, and if you feel hungry, by all means, eat something.
Det. Nick Knight : Thanks. I'm a bit hungry. That hospital food was dreadful.
