Julia Shows Her Colors
Hitchcoc4 November 2019
As Niles and Daphne prepare a dinner party to announce Daphne's pregnancy, Julia shows up. She stays for dinner and proves to be as boorish as one can be. Frasier, believing he needs to ride out these kinds of performances, tries to hang in there. What transpires is excellent comedy, with a touch of black humor.

Niles reminds frasier of how many woman he'd slept with and dumped so frasier decides he is going to try and make it work with Julia, tho after they sleep together frasier dumps her and she becomes another name on a huge list of woman this cranky old therapist has bedded... The supporting cast really carried the show, especially late on when the writers turned frasier into a womaniser. I still love the show but it did lose its charm when love entered the plot. Seriously how many woman can an aging therapist thru! I hope if they bring frasier back that he's settled down because he character had no progression thru out the show. He character had no character growth at all really as he starts the show single having moved to seattle and ends the show single and moving on again.. Even further away from his son and family..

A Man, a Plan and a Gal: Julia

You can bring back star writers, you can try and be better, but when you've got an annoying character like Julia then you're stuffed.

I thought we were done with the character in the last episode, but no, here she is, and the writers use every trick in the book to really make her as unlikable as possible.

So we then in turn like her even less. It's a strange tactic they've taken, and it doesn't make for a very fun episode at all.

Hopefully she's now gone. Hopefully the eleventh and final series can settle down and establish some sort of creative groove. Because this was one of the worst episodes for a while.
