At a fundraiser, three women come on to Frasier. He sets up dates with each of them and from then on it's a disaster. Sherry is the cause of most of his headaches with her big mouth. I know she is supposed to be ingratiating but I was sorry to see her still part of the cast. I remember Marcia Mason in The Goodbye Girl. She was wonderful, but her character just grates on me.

Worth Noting For One Joke

Warning: Spoilers
Typical Frasier episode, with the Crane up to his usual buffoonery.
But I want to note one particular incident in this episode (actually a two-parter).
Daphne has made Frasier aware of someone watching the goings-on in the elevator with the security camera.
Later, with nothing to do with anything else in the plot, Frasier is about to tuck in his shirt, then stops and eyes the camera.
No, he won't be viewed in this personal moment with this camera, so Frasier opens up his umbrella to block the camera's view, then begins tucking in his shirt.
His pants fall down.
The door to the lift now opens with Frasier standing there, holding his pants around his knees and having the umbrella open.
Daphne, by now at Roz's level of unimpressed or unsurprised by Crane behavior, simply observes him as he waddles out of the elevator and she enters.
Daphne looks up at the unseen camera and simply says "he's been under a lot of stress." It would be simple things like this, unconnected to anything else in the episode, that began to make Frasier even better.
I mark this one because years from now I will be wondering which episode it was that Frasier had an umbrella and his pants down in the elevator.
It was this one.

Young Edward

Just for the funny way the dates go wrong and Eddie the dog gets the food. But love this Frasier quote, here:
Frasier: to Eddie.... All right, young Edward: learn from the master. Now, just follow these time-honored traditions, and you too might get lucky with that young Pekinese peach you've been eyeing in the park. Now, for mood: Vivaldi. And then, for lighting: not so bright as to show the wrinkles, not so dark as to make her think you're hiding anything. And then finally, leaving nothing to chance... holds up wine bottle Frasier: Pouily-Fuissé 1992, the nectar of the gods. Dear God, I could teach a course!
Brilliant!!
