Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaAfter Michelle takes the cookie out of Joey's pocket Joey says to Jesse "You want a cookie?" To which Jesse answers "I'll cookie you." This same joke was used in the Season one episode "But Seriously Folks" during Joey's comedy act.
- GoofsAfter D.J. and Kimmy walk-in on Danny singing, 'My Generation,' and question his motives, Jesse mistakenly says "Now GIRLS, your dad has a very good voice." Obviously Danny isn't Kimmy's dad, and therefore, Jesse should've said "Now DJ, your dad has a very good voice."
- Quotes
Joseph 'Joey' Gladstone: Danny, you don't have to be hip and cool. You're spick and span.

Embarrassment.
What kind of youth finds their parents cool? Hip? Even if they truly are cool and hip. they're your parents! Seeing it through a son's or daughter's eyes is a curse. That's just the way it is in life.
DJ organizes a fundraiser for a new computer (oh 1991) and Jesse gets the Smash Club rented to her. Joey will do a comedy set and Jesse's band will play. Danny is the emcee and will say as little as possible. That hurts Danny's feelings. No kid feels that their parents are cool, but not we get the flip side. Set on playing with the Rippers as a surprise, Danny dresses like a punk rocker and rehearses with them singing The Who's "My Generation." Sure he looks goofy, but he nails it. he sounds exactly the way Roger Daltry does in the original recording. But with his hyper antics and outfit, DJ catches him and disapproves. If Danny dressed normally and wasn't so hyper, him singing My Generation would have been excellent. He soon realizes that parents are uncool to their kids as he remembered how bad his dad threw a football. When Danny backs out, DJ finally feels remorse.
The subplot involves Michelle enjoying the "hot and cold" game. Joey is supposed to have the engagement ring engraved but Michelle hides it in an attempt to play. Funny stuff.
The parent-child/hip subject is very well done and original. The music is also great.
