This episode seems to be wanting to give an important lesson to emerging teens, but I thought it was just funny. The usual family schmaltzy moments are here (obviously), but who cares if they are?
Pitcher Stephanie is asked by a boy on her team for a slice of pizza. DJ and Kimmy give her the wrong idea that it's a date. She begs DJ to double and the night ends with a kiss.
The subplot has Joey all nervous around their boss, Allison, while she thinks Jesse is a chauvinist. These problems the three are having get fixed, but in believable and cheery ways.
Now this appears to be about not to try so hard to grow up, and I get that, but it is more fun that philosophical. Why not have more episodes like this? It added up to a tasty treat.
