When Troy and Dillon are first launching to Earth in their "Vipers", even though they had yet to meet anyone on Earth, Jamie Hamilton can been seen sitting in the rear passenger seat of one of the "Vipers".
When Troy and Dillon are fired upon by the 2 USAF aircraft, the aircraft shown is clearly different to the footage of the aircraft following them. The F-15A intercepting are 1974 contract production aircraft which are part of the First Fighter (1st Tactical Fighter Wing then, 1st Fighter Wing today) based at Langley AFB. As Troy and Dillon are headed into Los Angeles and are detected on Albuquerque radar, it is doubtful that fighters from Langley would be sent to intercept. The F-15 firing the missile is one of the F-15 prototypes. It could be F-15 71-0280 (tail 10280), the first F-15, but the McDonald Douglas Eagle logo is missing from the rear vertical stabilizer so it could be 71-0283 (tail 71283) instead due to the paint scheme.
When close-ups of the two intercepting F-15 pilots are shown, the cockpits they are in are F-4 Phantom cockpits, not the F-15 cockpit.
When the aide reports to General Cushing, the general is wearing dark sunglasses. In the close-up shot, his glasses are clear.
The Galactica arrives at Earth in the year 1980 and Adama states that their voyage has taken 30 years which means that the events of Battlestar Galactica took place around 1950 in Earth time. However, at the very end of the original series (in the episode "The Hand of God"), the Galactica receives a television transmission that shows the 1969 Apollo moon landing. Since the fleet's journey to Earth had only started a few months prior, it means that the events of Battlestar Galactica must have taken place after the late 1960s in Earth time. Since television signals travel at the speed of light, it makes no sense that the Galactica could arrive at Earth only 11 years after the signal was transmitted.
When Troy and Dillon are riding into Los Angeles and first encounter the bikers, you can see that Troy's front wheel is not rolling.
When Dr Zee is showing the potential Cylon attack on Los Angeles, in the scene where the two Cylon fighters are descending with the Hollywood sign in the background, you can see part of the structure holding the models as black rods extending from the rear of the craft.
Adama's age shouldn't be a factor in the timing mismatch because in the original series he stated the average life expectancy of their people was around 200.
After Dr Mortinson says, "What's all the commotion?" the boom mic is visible.
The general's aide says the unidentified aircraft are flying supersonically on the deck, i.e. almost at ground level. The next shot shows the Vipers are still at high altitude.
