It's Gabrielle's birthday, everyone's remembered, apart from George, who's been out all night with Sandra. A mix up with a fur stole causes lots of problems.
It's a great episode, it's funny, it plays to the characters strengths, and ends on a sad note. George is very much the callous lothario, Gabrielle ever the optimist seeking an act of kindness from the person she's most find of.
Look out for a very attractive, young Barbara Knox, who plays Sandra, years later and would become a household name playing Rita Tanner in Coronation Street.
