Gabrielle sends correspondence to The Prince, and gets a response, penned of course by George.
This was an attempt by George to do something nice for a change, but of course his gesture blows up in his face. What surprises me is the actual scene where Gabrielle approaches the real Buckingham palace, we only get a glimpse, but the lack of traffic, and people, such a change in times. We get to see Gabrielle as the victim, she's a sorry aight when she returns home.
Harold Wilson, the PM and a labour man, on the front page of The Times, the cause of such irritation for The Colonel, many times this was a comedy about class, with John Le Mesurier perfect for the upper Class role of The Colonel. I love how he's horrified at the thought.
Funny :-) 8/10
