A seemingly innocuous visit to a small California town to extradite a prisoner to L. A. has Christie (Teresa Graves) finding out that the law enforcement there has had more to deal with than speeding passers through and the occasional drunk local. Sheriff Clu Gulager is reluctant to have Christie involved at first, but with issues concerning her intended prisoner and the arrest of a migrant for murder on his plate, she's a good partner to have.
Keeping her lighthearted sass back in the city, Christie is able to adapt quickly to the ways small towns deal with issues. Obviously Ms. Love is going to make new friends out of this excursion, and Graves continues to show how versatile an actress she was in a short career. The corruption comes from a shocking racket and I didn't see the big reveal coming. A fun episode in the all too short lived series.
