Paint Max Jealous

Warning: Spoilers
Another solid script by Burns and Marmer has CONTROL investigating the destruction of an embassy and other government buildings that seem to be tied to works of art from the Savage gallery. The gallery is run by the handsome Savage (Michael Dante) and his artist Mondo (John Abbott, who played Dr. Frankenstein IV on "The Munsters" as well as Koridian on "Star Trek"). The Chief assigns 99 and Max to check it out as a socialite and her chauffeur.

There's some funny business as Max and 99 try to get Savage's fingerprints and photo (he's never been fingerprinted or photographed). Max goes to Lover's Lane to keep an eye on 99 and Savage, using a blow up doll in the seat next to him ("Airplane" comes to mind) so he doesn't attract attention being parked in Lover's Lane alone. At least that's what he tries to explain to the cop who wonders what he's doing up there with a rubber girl. There's good scenes in the art gallery with nitro paint, as well as the final scene in Max's apartment.

Funny as it is, Adams also gets a chance to show Max really does have feelings for 99 (its always clear she is in love with him) as he gets jealous over Savage's attentions to her. It's a point that deepens both characters.
