The Transplants
AaronCapenBanner15 November 2014
Susan Oliver stars as Ellen Pritchard, a Doctor's widow who has allowed her husband's eyes, hands, and vocal chords to be used in a transplant experiment with three patients who need them. The operations go well, but then a strange complication occurs when all three of them seem to lose their will, and their newly transplanted parts are not under their control, but instead are used by the ghost of the doctor in a desperate and elaborate plan of revenge against Ellen, whom he believes had murdered him to be with another man. Is he right, or is Ellen the victim of a cruel mistake? Far-fetched yet reasonably entertaining episode with the beautiful Miss Oliver the highlight in her role.

Spare Parts But Not A Spare But Excellent Script
perryvalentino13 August 2010
When I first saw the title, I thought this would be a mediocre plot. However, I was first surprise to see the beautiful Susan Oliver heading the cast and being reunited with her former "Peyton Place" costar Chris Connally. The story involves a widow, who is being terrorized by three patients that have inherited her dead husband's parts. Don Knight makes an excellent scary ghost as the dead husband. It is nice to see Meg Foster the first future "Cagney and Lacey" star looking young and attractive. The resemblance to Kirstie Alley then is amazing. Rick Lenz makes a nice attractive doctor, who replaces Susan Oliver's husband as the new doctor at the hospital. For t.v. trivia fans, Barbara Stuart as the older nurse was the one who played Sargent Carter's girlfriend Bunny on "Gomer Pyle." Is Susan Oliver an innocent victim? Unfortunately, the only way you can find out is to find a collector's copy because this rare excellent series is not available on d.v.d. Find, watch and enjoy.

Great cast!

Warning: Spoilers
Dr. Phillip Pritchard has died and his widow Ellen (Susan Oliver, Zita from the Star Trek episode "The Menagerie") has given away his larnyx, eyes and hands to three people who he will lead from the beyond to force a confession from his wife, a woman who finally snapped from years of being trapped in a loveless marriage.

Directed by Charles S. Dubin (Death In Space) and written by Seeleg Lester (who wrote episodes of The Outer Limits, Perry Mason, Hawaii Five-O and many more shows), Paul Mason (who produced Better Off Dead, Teen Witch and Killer Klowns from Outer Space) and Jimmy Sangster, this episode plays off that old horror tale of body parts having a life of their own.

Look for Christopher Connelley (Atlantis Interceptors, 1990: The Bronx Warriors, Manhattan Baby), Meg Foster (Masters of the Universe) and Alex Rocco, which is pretty much what I call a great cast.

Amazing episode! Susan Oliver showed out!

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this episode very recently because I had watched Susan Oliver's episode of Thriller beforehand. The entire episode was amazing and I really loved the cast, not just Susan, but Rick Lenz as well, along with Meg Foster and the late Alex Rocco.

***SPOILER*** I really went into this figuring that Susan was tormented and falsely accused of murder by her twisted husband, but that flashback scene which revealed Susan as a villainess and murderer was just amazing. She really portrayed her sadism in that scene, and her quest to keep her evil deeds hidden leading to her confession and breakdown was just amazing acting altogether!
