I love Gilmore Girls but hate this episode

I've watched the whole series so many times that I've lost count. It's my all time favourite series. But whenever this episode comes on I always skip it. The annoying neighbour just grates my nerves. Nothing fun or entertaining about his personality. Which is weird because the whole series is full of characters who should be irritating but you love them anyway. But not this guy. Next!

Warning: Spoilers
Lorelai has a new neighbor named Dwight and he asks Lorelai to water his lawn "oasis" while he's away. He's super kooky. When Rory and Lorelai show up to turn on the sprinklers, they see a note and find out that Dwight also wants them to water his inside plants. They go inside his house and it's pretty snazzy. His ex wife calls while they are there and she leaves a threatening voice mail. We never see Dwight after this so maybe the wife got him after all?

One evening, Rory is trying to turn on the sprinklers by herself and she can't get them to turn off. She pages Dean to help her but he doesn't respond. Of course that means Jess to the rescue. Him and Rory stare at each other while soaking wet and I think this scene was only put in there to show some teenage tension between the two. Jess finds out that Dean is on his way so he turns the water back on so Dean can be the "hero".

Emily gets mad that Lorelai has a bad date with someone Emily approves of.
