  Luke Danes : Not officially? Oh, come on. I mean, I didn't have a ref present, but other than that.

  Lorelai : Well, you didn't say anything official.

  Luke Danes : What was I supposed to say? I did things. I let my actions speak. That's what you're supposed to do. You're supposed to let your actions speak. That's the romantic way to do this, damn it.

• Dereck : You okay?

  Lorelai : Well, there's a debate going on about that.

• Lorelai : But maybe he didn't mean it as a date thing. Maybe he just needed to get out of the house. And since I'm currently one of the women sitting home, thinking "if I could only find a man like Aragorn," he picked me.
