I love this episode. I love seeing all of the new characters that weren't involved in the first episode. Because they go to Chilton and Chilton wasn't really a factor in the first episode.
In this episode, it's Rory's first day at her new private school, Chilton. And she's really nervous and anxious. And bad things start happening. It's starts with Lorelai's clock not "purring" on time and her being late to wake up. Lorelai not having any clean clothes, as she was going to pick them up from the dry cleaners, and her having to wear a cowgirl-type outfit. When they get to the school, Lorelai expected just to drop Rory off, but Rory tells her that she has to come in and meet the headmaster. So, they go in. And what a surprise, Lorelia's mother, Emily, is waiting in the headmaster's office. How rude? It's not your daughter going to this school. Go away, Emily! I get really annoyed when people but in. After making an embarrassing first impression on the headmaster, Lorelai leaves and Rory talks to him alone. He says that it will be tough for her. And she finds that out as soon as she gets to her first class and has to catch up on months of work, and they've only had a few weeks of school. Everyone back in Stars Hollow is shocked to see how Lorelai dressed. Poor Lorelai. And for some reason, girls from Chilton, Paris, Madison and Louise, already hate Rory for no reason. To sum it all up: not a great first day.
Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.
