Dean is the worst!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has a ton going on. As I rewatch the series as an adult I tend to find myself siding more with Emily. I do love her in this episode but I also feel for Lorelei just wanting her to shut up- been there! There is almost a parallel between Rory and Paris and Lorelei and Emily. From the beginning of the series they started off as complete fools and opponents. This episode they are "friends or whatever they are" and actually break that wall and become friends or start to.

We also actually see Jess connect with Paris, the first person he actually carries on a conversation with other than Rory (even if they are disagreeing).

Dean is the absolute worst! He is so controlling and over reacts. I get he is a teenaged boy and they are like that (I mean all teenagers are!) but seriously - he blows up and doesn't listen to her at all. Rory said don't come over. He comes over anyway. He is mad Paris was there when there was an explanation. Yes I'd be angry if I were him and Jess was there but they weren't alone and Jess had obviously brought food over it wasn't as if Rory invited him instead of Dean. The more I watch this the more I just can't with Dean!

I do like this episode a lot. I like how Emily gets uncomfortable. We see that she doesn't just Judge Lorelei to be judgy, she truly feels that way as she puts the same judgment on herself. She overreacts. "I don't go to chop houses". That was a nicer restaurant. I can see not eating at the bar but not going to a steak house! It wasn't like a 24 hour truck stop!

Rants over. Good episode to further character and relationship development.

This episode is jam packed! We have Emily and Lorelai staying the night at a spa, and Rory trying to juggle Dean, Jess, & Paris at her house. Rory is still in denial about her feelings for Jess but Dean has been so unlikeable lately that it's hard to feel sorry for him.

Emily and Lorelai have a roller coaster of a time during their stay at the spa and it ends with Emily telling Lorelai that she wants the kind of mother/daughter relationship that Lor & Rory have.
