The One With Luke And Lorelai's First Date...

I really like this episode. It's funny and I love to see how rude the town of Stars Hollow is. I mean, they can't dictate who dates who, that's just immoral and rude.

In this episode, Luke and Lorelai have their first official date and they think everything is going well. That's until they go to the next town meeting and find out that they are the main thing on the agenda. Taylor wants to put it to a vote, to decide whether they should be allowed to keep dating. Once again, Taylor is abusing his power, being a rude dictator and just being a douche. It's so terrible the way he thinks he has any say or control over other peoples' lives and relationships. Meanwhile, Paris holds a wake for her recently departed boyfriend and Rory meets a new guy. Could he be something special? It could be.

Overall, I give this episode a 9 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Amazing.

Town Meeting

Good afternoon, This is a delayed response to finally watching all of the Gilmore Girls seasons from beginning to now. I noticed that in this episode (season 5, episode #3), Luke is annoyed with going to the town meeting. His wording indicates he hates these meetings, and NEVER attends. Except, from the previous seasons DVD releases, I have witnessed that Luke is a staple at these meetings (butting heads with Taylor as often as possible). I know this is a trivial point, but I was confused as to the reason from the creative team as to why Luke disdaines his meeiting.

Can anybody shed light on the circumstances of this occurrence?

Rory meets Logan, who she is surprised to learn that he's more than just a trust fund kid. Asher Fleming dies and Paris hosts a wake for him. Luke and Lorelai go on their first date and Luke admits to Lorelai that he is ALL in! :) Richard and Emily fight, and the town has a meeting deciding if Luke and Lorelai should be dating or not. Silly Taylor.

annoying go, annoying comes...

We got rid of annoying and moron liz and her husband characters, and now we got another level of unpleasantness: the soon to be rory's boyfriend and his friends. Horrible bunch. I remember those on A year in the life, and they were exorbitantly unpleasant. Really. I see new fastforwarding moments in GM.

Luke and Lorelei: feels awkward, just like the face lorelei does when something new happens with him, some new step in the relationship.

This couple should have been toghether years ago.. Lorelei went from men to men.. is it really normal in real life to do that??

And of course, we got Rory forgetting aaaaall about what happened with Dean and Jess. She has no memory of it at all (like lorelei)
