The show begins with a prisoner (Patty Duke) making a deal with the District Attorney to testify against a mob boss (wow--Hawaii seems to have a never-ending supply of them). In exchange, this wacky lady wants the police to provide a church wedding and honeymoon for her! McGarrett thinks the lady just wants to milk the state but the DA gives his approval for this weird bargain. The problem is that now it's up to McGarrett to try to somehow keep this idiot alive!
This is a pretty good episode of "Hawaii Five-O" although some of the acting left a bit to be desired. First, Patty Duke occasionally over-emoted in a few scenes and reminded me of her performance in "Valley of the Dolls". Second, this was one of the few episodes that explored McGarrett's love life--and he appeared extremely awkward and stiff (in a bad way) in these scenes. Still, despite this, it's pretty interesting and featured an unusual plot.
