What Would the Gang do?

What a great follow up episode. This show is top quality. It's genius level comedy really.

Reinforces how despicable and absolutely lacking in principles the guys are.

The kid who plays Charlie's supposed son is extremely obnoxious and annoying but I guess that's the whole point of his character. Hard to watch though.

It's a very shouty episode with the protests and the unruly kid. Felt like People were constantly screaming.

I love the final scene where the kid's real father does a callback to the Why Why Why routine from earlier in the episode.

Establishes that the show will not shy away from controversial topics to get laughs.

1x2: Charlie Wants an Abortion

Warning: Spoilers
I think this episode is a jump up in quality for me, I think both plots are executed pretty well it's pretty average for a sunny episode maybe a little below it has that season 1 feel that every episode in this season has and it's missing Frank which I don't know how I didn't mention in the last review. It's very noticeable especially cause he's one of my favorite characters the episodes without him are missing something. I really like Charlies plot line in this episode and I wish there was more plots with dee and charlie I mean there is a few here and there but I feel like they don't have a lot of episodes of together and they even talk about in a future episode. I really like Charlie's and Dee's dynamic in this episode even though I still don't care for dee as the straight person of the group. The scene at the store with Charlie and dee and the waitress is great, all the actors were fanatic. Charlies first real outburst which all of the members besides really frank have outbursts on occasion. Charlies outburst on the kid is great. Even though at the end it's revealed it's not his actual kid I think what they do which the plot makes it more rewatchable . When the kid gets drunk and Charlies reaction to it is great. I also think the plot with dennis and Mac is good to. I think the plot with the abortion rally holds up a little more than the previous. Macs sign is a highlight. Mac and dennis going to opposite sides of the abortion rally. Dennis hitting on girls at the abortion rally. I was laughing a lot more in this episode and after I finished it I was like alright I'm gonna give the season a shot. Also the ending I think is great with Dennis jumping the fence. Great follow up and one of the better episodes of the season 9/10.

Charlie Jr.

Warning: Spoilers
IASIP never shies away from controversial topics and this is no exception. It takes a nuanced show to take on the topic of abortion but Always Sunny pulls it off perfectly in this episode. The gang's duality on the topic of abortion is mostly due to their current situation, such as Mac, and shows how people throw their convictions out the window as soon as they are put to the test.

Genius

Warning: Spoilers
IASIP really handled the abortion topic in a unique way, humorous. While Mac and Dennis try to get laid at abortion rallies(the irony) Dee decides to actually voice her opinion, on the pro choice side. Charlie finds out he has a son, psyche! Really, the lady just wanted a good role model. But Charlie learns that the waitress is in the Big Brothers/Sisters program, so he lies and says the kid and him are part of the program too. Dennis originally on the pro choice side with his sis, but when he literally crosses the fence he gets locked in crossfire... of eggs. This episode is particularly funny because it's so out there, well, that's the entire show in a nutshell. But really, a great episode.

Always choices in Philadelphia

Some good moments but lacking the laughs of the first episode some good character development learning a bit about what lengths Charlie will go to, To impress the waitress. A look into the mind of Dennis.

Very Arrested Development-esque!

The scene where Dennis is literally straddling the fence is pure genius!

Genius?

Really don't understand the people who think this is genius comedy. It seems people like the show because it's not afraid to be mildly offensive, which I can get, but that's hardly enough to call it genius. The problem is that even though I'll give it credit for being daring, most of the jokes are cheap and not particularly well crafted.
