Someone kills an ensign at night in a secluded spot on a beach during a romantic scene with the wife of a chief petty officer; the chief faces a charge of murder. Harm prosecutes, and Mac and Bud defend. There is a history of abuse of the wife by her husband; she first declines to cooperate with the prosecution, and she later starts to talk, but her testimony flips and flops.
