Vincent groups his literary-potential juvenile ward pupils and considers publishing their stories, but the editor is more interested in an autobiographical book on his viewpoint and experiences with young jail bait. Latino street kid Fernando 'Freddie' Duran is charged with abusing a cop, but despite clumsy pro bono defense convinces Amy of his innocence and more. Rather then admitting she's falling in love again with IGnacio, she encourages him to date her socialite friend Patricia Millhouse, who admires him as landscape gardener.
