LOL, slowest moving tornado I've ever seen, and I live in North Texas where we see the real thing. However, I still love the series so 7 stars for a good story and good acting.

Good acting saves the day

The story line is a testament to Murphy's Law: whatever can go wrong will. And everything does in this one. A tornado is on the way, and the Laramie regulars are stuck with an entire cast of folks who aren't who they say they are. Nancy Gates and Claude Akins lead a fine guest cast as an Army man on the run and his devoted wife, masquerading as a nun. The two were seen the same year in Commanche Station with Claude as the leering bad guy eyeing Gates as a potential victim. The lawman isn't a lawman. And the assassins have caught up with Akins' character. Perhaps not the most original script in the world, but well acted and entertaining with a happy ending. I'm good with that.

Tain't a fit night out for man nor beast

There's a twister in this Laramie story that is threatening Sherman station and everything for miles around. The Overland Stage driven by William Fawcett has stopped at the station and all are taking refuge with the Laramie cast regulars.

But all of them are in a mighty big hurry to be anywhere else. In fact one of them Claude Akins is so insistent that John Smith has to club him one upside his head after Akins pulls a gun.

We know why Akins is in a hurry, he's a former US Army Sergeant Major who busted the stockade and is running not so much from the army as from people wanting to silence him from talking about a payroll robbery he was part of.

It's a lot of action and suspense with the impending tornado which comes with ferocity. But sadly it covers up a weak story and script.
