Tom Bishop, an escaped con, wants to turn himself in as long as a girl he loves gets the reward for a life saving operation. When a stranger comes to town, Troop thinks fast to keep Tom from finding out who his new love really is.
Tom Bishop an escaped convict sent to prison by Troop surprises Troop in the Marshal's office wanting to make a deal. Bishop will turn himself in if the $500 reward for him is given to his girlfriend Jennie who needs to go to Chicago for medical attention. Troop conditionally agrees to the deal if he can verify the story. Troop decides the story is true and wires for the reward money. Another convict Blue sees Jennie and recognizes her as an old flame from her saloon days. He forces Jennie to give him the money for not telling her boyfriend. Jennie is then forced to pawn her new brooch for stagecoach fare. When the man she sold it to tries to sell it to Lily, Troop recognizes it and confronts Jennie who tells him her condition is terminal but she doesn't want to tell Tom. Troop confronts Blue who is now after Tom and is forced to kill him but recovers the money for Jennie.—Anonymous
