Julie holds up a newspaper with a headline, "Couple To Be Reunited Aboard Ship". It is illustrated with a wedding picture of the couple, supposedly taken at the beginning of WWII. But actually, this is a wedding picture of King Leopold III and Queen Astrid of Belgium, who married in 1926. Queen Astrid died in a car accident in 1935.
Out on deck, when Gopher isn't buying Herb Grobecker's story that he's not Devon King, Herb pulls out his wallet and shows Gopher his driver's license. Gopher reads the name on the license as "Herbert J. Grobecker." Later, when Herb shows Marla that he isn't Devon King, he pulls out his wallet to show her his driver's license. This time the audience sees the license: "Herb Grobecker, 718 E. 6th St., Los Angeles, CA."
