Doc Pioneers Tele-Surgery - Will The Patient Survive?
WalterKafka17 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
We're into December of 1978 already. 'The Folks from Home' plot here was actually written by Grandy and Koppell. Cisse Cameron is interested in Doc. She was married to Reb Brown and appeared in Space Mutiny. Cisse will do if Judy Landers needs a break. Pat Harrington is hanging off a pipe, working on the ship. He's hitting on a returning Florence Henderson. She's here to give 'Captain of the Year' to Captain Stubing. Oops. Her boss didn't arrive. She wants Pat to impersonate the man. What could go wrong? Game Show legend Bret Convy runs into his ex-wife's lawyer. 'A vampire,' he says. She's played by Leigh-Taylor Young. 'We live in the disposable generation,' Bert says. Doc runs into an old couple from his home town. They're celebrating fifty years. When she falls down, Doc is going to have to operate. 'That spleen has got to come out!' Doc keeps his degrees on the wall of his Operating Room. Florence wears a gray two-piece outfit. Nothing else does much for me here. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
