Not even The Mermaids can keep The Love Boat afloat!

There's a new Assistant Cruise Director. For some inexplicable reason, the Cruise Director is not his boss.

Constantly berating the new Assistant Cruise Director, and threatening him with a Chef's knife is supposed to be very funny.

It's not.

Gave this a 2 instead of a 1 because Michael Winslow. Hated everything else about this episode.

Won that year's Emmy for outstanding predictability. Every joke, every speech, every conflict, you see it coming 10 minutes before it happens. No twistin' by the pool. No twists at all. Bog standard barco del amor stuff but somehow drained of all imagzination and originalzity. Dry tough stringy cardboard flavor T-bone.

Less painful than stepping on a lego. 2 stars.
