Arte Johnson, of Laugh-in fame, visits the base as a combat photographer named Sweeney. The Navy has sent Sweeney out to the base to get some PT boat action as some lawmakers are rethinking funding PT boats. Sweeney's goal is to capture a PT boat engaged in action with the enemy to prove the value of the boat.
But before an action is captured, Gruber gets a hold of the equipment and films some sailors with some local girls to send back home. When Sweeney finally get to film some action between PT 73 and the enemy, the film is double exposed and is no use to anyone.
But McHale has a plan where Sweeney can film some action shots using his crew as the Japaneses and his PT boat as an enemy. But McHale gets more than he bargained when real Japs show up to spoil the action.
This was an above average show that was enjoyable to watch. Some of the best scenes were early in the show when Gruber is using his wit into making money by photographs and then by filming the local sailors on the island. Anyway another nice show as we approach the ending of season one.
