Of Bikes and Men (#2.5)

Warning: Spoilers
Jake figures out that the fire started because he forgot to put out the torch completely. Him and Jo have a fight because he feels like she doesn't trust him. Jane and Michael are at lawyer and he now says she was having an affair but Kimberly can't keep up with that lie. Alison goes with Billy to some work event and since he wasn't supposed to bring anyone he hides her. Matt tells the Russian doctor that he is gay.

I feel bad for Jo. Especially at the end how she was blaming herself on all of this. Jake is the only one at fault in all of this, including him losing his temper in a ridiculous way. Looks like he will be with Amanda next.

Warning: Spoilers
You can do no wrong with this second season of Melrose Place. It has a more sustained pace, the plots are far more addictive. And the characters are well developed. Everything in this episode, comes crashing down. For better or worse, it showed the series was off to a new beginning. And overcame the first season's shortcomings. Jake and Jo broke up, after one of Jake's outbursts, that showed just how dishonest he could be. After turning the blame on Jo, and treading for Amanda, who was clearly eager to play the rebound girl. Michael lies were revealed by his mistress. And that was a very satisfying part, with great acting too. Of course there's the feud between him and Jane, that is always very entertaining to watch. Which reached its peak with their fight at the supermarket. And Matt and Katia's exchanges take on a new meaning, when they become friends, and one of the most compelling relationships of this first half of season. The cons of this episode, are mainly Billy and Allison, who are just bound to fail their love affair. And like I said, Jake, who comes out as an abusive boyfriend who can't stomach being called out on it.
