- Crockett and Tubbs go undercover to move on a major Miami dealer and stumble into a runaway paramilitary group with blood in their sights and plans of their own for the deal money.
- Rocking to Bob Seger and "Miami," the guys attend a party, looking to turn into a routine drug bust at Casa de Rojas. Crazy Eyes runs into Jerry Pedroza, a Vice cop he once taught Rules of Evidence. (You have to know the rules before you break them, right?) Before the buy can go down masked men infiltrate, kill Pedroza, and execute special ops that look more Quantico than Colombian. Sonny and Rico know some of the bad guys; the worse guys are Cuban paramilitary. The crew investigates and Castillo even puts his badge on the line to bring this case home.—LA-Lawyer
- Crockett and Tubbs are almost killed when, during a party, masked robbers break into the villa of Armando Rojas, the major drug dealer the undercover Vice duo is trying to bust, and murder both him and by accident Jerry Pedroza, the third undercover cop there, who happens to be Sonny's old trainee. FBI agent Jack Slade points them toward a Bay of Pig Invasion veteran called Victor Vasquez and Paco Zamora, the young hotheaded leader of a small anti-Castro militia comprised mostly of Cuban refugees and the sons of Cuban refugees who all seek the overthrow of Castro. Their first goal is to assassinate the notorious former prison warden who tortured political prisoners and is now arriving to Miami as a Cuban government official. Sonny goes undercover to try and stop them.
