Not a fav episode but a good one that I feel is worth trying out. This film is one of the examples of having a cool idea but not doing anything cool with it. You think you're going to get another "Red Dawn" and "Invasion U. S. A. (Chuck Noris version), think again as this film is one big misfire.

The film is supposed to be a war drama but it doesn't succeed in that. One thing that's strange about the film is most of it takes place at a bar, I guess you can say it's kind of like the TV show "Cheers" only it's not funny nor any good.

There are some memorable skits, like one that parodied on the short as we see Mike and the Robots at the dinner table being so polite it's strange and almost unsettling. It's an honorable mention in favorite skits of mine as it's the build up to the pay off, and I'll just say the pay off cracked me up as it was sweet relief.

Another is the two actresses from the "Adventures of Superman" TV show back in the day, which is funny as once again Crow makes a big thing out of something trivial. Though Crow's chart also needs an update considering all the other Lois Lanes we've had throughout the years. An answer to Crow's question and if anyone wants to know my favorite Lois Lane it's Erica Durrance from "Smallville".

And there is one of their conversation's exchanges, this is one of my favs as their conversation is with an Atom bomb. It's just funny from the rough New York accent the bomb is putting on, but the last thing Crow says in the conversation which is blackly funny "Did we do something wrong?" My reply "Yes Crow, yes you did."

And there's plenty of memorable riffs from what they say about the war stock footage which this film has lots off as a cheap way to create the feel of invasion. There is bombing sequence and Servo makes a joke on the visual effect, how their bombing a postcard, yes, they are Servo and not very accurately. Another is one scene where there's an invasion on the capital and one America soldier gives a small test to one other soldier, and he replies with a dumb answer all I can say to that is worst spy ever.

This episode is right on target for hilarity.

Still hilarious

It's weird seeing as how this wasn't one of the best episodes. Of course, even then it was still wonderful! This one also has a short "A Date With Your Family", which also had tons of great moments. This is a really crappy movie and it's great to see an early episode with Mike. I don't want to just spend this review quoting the episode. The sequences were quite funny too and I especially love the idea of Mike trying to make his own robot. I was a bit confused by the Lois Lane part. I guess it was just meant to show how Crow was obsessed over something so trivial. It's also funny to see Tom's broken crown at the end.

One sad part is when they do a joke about North Korea wanting nukes. It's great that a show like this is truly timeless, but it does make you realize something. The status quo is still the same with North Korea. Yes, I would know this about history as well. The best riffing might have been at the very end with the joke about a woman being in his glass. Another good part was how they were attacking a post card. Dang, do I love that music at the end. ***1/2.
