This telecast aired the day after the 1952 Presidential election. The contestants were: Master Dwight D. EISENHOWER (same name as the newly-elected president) and Mr. Maxie ROSENBLOOM (same name as the boxer/actor). Because the show's producers couldn't foretell the election's outcome, a standby contestant, Mr. Adlai STEVENSON (same name as the losing 1956 Democratic presidential candidate), did a quick walk-on to be merely introduced. In the celebrity ''I'd Like to Be'' segment, the actual boxer/actor Maxie ROSENBLOOM wished he was the Duke of WINDSOR, the uncrowned former king of England.
The telecast was live from New York and sponsored by ''Bendix Home Appliances, a division of Avco, the famous name of the world's finest automatic washers and dryers.''
