- TriviaAnn's response to Fred's notion that she needs a 'man around the house' - "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle." - was a well-known slogan of the feminist movement of the 1970s (when this show was produced). The quote is probably most accurately credited to Irina Dunn [Patricia Irene Dunn](born 1948), who says she was paraphrasing an idea she read in college in 1970 (probably "A man without faith is like a fish without a bicycle."
