Patty admits to not being Ben Casey, an allusion to the popular medical drama on prime-time TV in the early 60s, Ben Casey (1961), starring Vince Edwards in the title role.
Even though Margaret Hamilton, who plays the maid, performed in well over 100 productions both on TV and in the movies throughout her nearly 50 years of acting, playing some very iconic roles, her performance here marks the first of two appearances in this series that is perhaps most notable in that she does not utter one word of dialogue. Her only other appearance occurs in Let 'Em Eat Cake (1964).
The question posed to Patty, who is posing as Cathy, about the moors in Scotland seeks information about the nearly 12% of Scotland's land mass that is neither forested nor cultivated primarily due to the poor soil, some of which covers peat bogs, that decayed, compacted moss that is also the subject of another question Patty/Cathy is asked.
Playing a doctor, this is the first of three appearances Ralph Bell makes in the series and the only appearance as anyone other than William Smathers, Martin's newspaper publisher. He plays the publisher in season two, Patty and the Newspaper Game (1965), and repeats his Smathers role later in the season in Cathy, the Rebel (1965).
